Field Site Opportunities for Faculty2009 Faculty Application Deadline: WED Oct 1, 2008Many instructors become involved with GIEU because they already have in mind particular projects and field sites in the U.S. or abroad. They then adapt these plans and projects to fit the GIEU model. Other instructors, however, come to GIEU precisely because of their interest in our program, pedagogical approaches, and the opportunities to do engaged intercultural work with diverse students. These instructors may then be interested in finding appropriate and interesting sites in order to develop a proposal for GIEU. Below are a few examples of institutes or projects that might have potential to be developed into GIEU field sites by interested faculty. Some of these have hosted GIEU field teams in the past. We do not officially endorse any of these programs, and there are many other possibilities, but offer them as a start to assist those who are considering our program.
